newRPL runs at distinctly different speeds than the stock ROM from HP.  The following table summarizes these differences.

During the high-speed (192 MHz) mode of newRPL, hour-glass icon appears in the upper right of the display. The delay before the onset of the high-speed mode can be shortened to 30 ms setting flag [[manual:appendix:flags#flag-88|-88]].
